Progress on the Google Assistant Integration

We've finally finished the development needed to integrate Google Assistant a.k.a. Google Home with Telldus Live!.

Now we've sent devices to Google for testing and certification, so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope the tests succeeds!

Update: We have passed certification and the integration is now live. Currently we require a premium account to activate this.

Looking forward to know when you have released the solution.

This sounds really good! It would be interesting to know what additional features this integration will provide. I would guess on the following:

1) Less need to use IFTTT? Maybe possible to skip IFTTT altogether? 2) Read sensor values (like "What is the temperature in the garage?")

Thanks!

@Yngve, For controlling devices through Google Home, you could skip IFTTT when the integration is available.
Google has not finished the support for sensors yet, so that would be a future feature.

Any info on the timeline when we can expect this integration?

Google reports that certification currently takes around 5 weeks. That is if everyting goes smoothly. Is we need to make changes it may take even longer.

Keep your fingers crossed that Google is faster than that... ;)

We have passed certification and the integration is now live. Currently we require a premium account to activate this. This will be available for basic access from 2019-03-01.

I have now activated this but i cannot see my sensors. Is it only available for the devices and not sensors?

@Viktor, Google does not support sensors at the moment.

That's it, I'm afraid. I'm now officially looking for a replacement for my Telldus Stick. If you want a monthly pint of blood for even the most basic service I'm taking my business elsewhere.

The is such a great news! One thing I've found is that all plugs that's not dimmable is read as switches, not lights. This means that if you say "Hey Google turn on the lights in the kitchen" then only dimmable plugs will be turned on but if you say "Hey Google, turn on kitchen" then all plugs will be turned on.

In the Google Home app you see that dimmable plugs has a light icon and the other has a switch. How do I change this?
